I'm Back!

It has been quite a while since I have updated my blog...there has been a lot going on!

Last week I started P90X and love it! Tony Horton is an amazing trainer! I have already lost an inch around my waist and thighs (in one week)!! His workouts make me feel stronger than I have ever felt and I can't thank him enough for that!

Things in my personal life have been a little hectic and have been adding stress onto me that I really don't need (I won't be going into to much detail about that though).

I am also EXTREMELY nervous about the Chicago Marathon in October...I have been training hard and putting in my miles but, with the pleurisy I have, it has been very hard to really push myself harder (since it causes a very difficult time with my breathing).

Well here's a semi update for now!

Relay for Life June 26, 2010

This was the most amazing event I have ever participated in! I wasn't able to stay the entire night, but I was there for the opening ceremony, the survivor lap and the Luminaria. The survivor lap and Luminaria were very emotional. During the survivor lap, a name was called and a little girl walked up to get her survivor's medal, which was very touching and I will be the first to admit I was crying during the survivor's lap and the luminaria. It was an amazing way to honor those who are fighting/have won their fight with cancer and to remember our loved ones lost to cancer. I am definitely going to be doing this again next year and hopefully I will be able to stay all night this time!

Bad Luck Sucks

Well, I think I have been officially been bit by the bad luck bug *shakes fist at that naughty bug!*

First it started with $50 being stolen from me from my Relay for Life cans...I mean who in the world steals money for a charity!? I worked my @$$ off to get those donations and to have $50 stolen was the biggest slap in the face.

Not to mention, anything that could go wrong has gone wrong. I won't get into details with that (as it is more private than I am willing to share at the moment). But let's just say, it has been horrendously frustrating! I hope that good luck with come along soon! I am not giving up hope that something good will happen!

In the meantime, I did find a picture that I found quite funny and wanted to share!

Well, I hope that everyone else is having a good week and good summer so far! I am hoping that the terrible storms that are supposed to hit tonight will miss us!!

And the headache returns...

Ugh, these headaches lately have been really horrible :( I have another pounding headache today. I had a migraine earlier and now my temples are throbbing...they are absolutely in horrendous pain.

I normally don't like griping, I just hate having horrible headaches like this. :(

Tired today

Last night I had the worst burning sensation in my lower back...it was so horrible :( I had the pain right around the same area where I have had the 2 lumbar punctures. Then, from that pain stemmed one of the worst migraines I have ever had...I couldn't move at all. The pain was so horrible, it felt like something was literally stomping my head into the ground. I still have the remnants of the headache, but it's not as bad thankfully.

Will write more later...
